A tragic security incident was reported in Kwara State after armed men allegedly attacked worshippers during a night vigil at a prayer ground in Ori-Oke Ajaiye, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday evening while worshippers were gathered for prayers at the prayer ground.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the development in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi.
Police authorities disclosed that three persons lost their lives during the attack, while 15 others were reportedly taken away by the attackers to an unknown destination.
The incident was said to have been reported by Pastor Adebayo Abiodun of Ijo Ajaiye Ati Igbala, Ekerin Village.
Following the attack, security personnel were immediately deployed to the area to begin rescue operations and restore calm within the community.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ojo Adekimi, reportedly directed tactical and intelligence-based operations involving various security units, including the Police Mobile Force and drone surveillance teams, to assist in locating the victims and apprehending those responsible.
The police commissioner condemned the incident and assured residents that efforts are ongoing to secure the safe release of those abducted.
The development has generated concern among residents and community members, with many calling for improved security measures across vulnerable areas in the state.
